Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to ship your order and run this site, and we don't sell your data. Longer version below.

What We Collect

If you use the support chat, contact us by email, or place an order, we collect what's needed to respond or fulfill it: name, email, shipping address, and order details. We don't store payment card numbers ourselves; that's handled directly by our payment processor.

How We Use It

To respond to questions, process and ship orders, send order and shipping confirmations, improve the site, and measure how our ads perform (see Cookies & Tracking below).

We Don't Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for money. Any service we use (payment processing, fulfillment, email) only receives what it needs to do that specific job. We do use the Meta Pixel for advertising, described below; some state privacy laws treat that as "sharing," and you can opt out of it at any time.

Cookies & Tracking

This site uses your browser's local storage for a small number of functional things, like not showing the first-order popup again after you've dismissed or claimed it, remembering your cart while you browse, and remembering your cookie choice. That stays on your device.

We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. It sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view and actions like checking out, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested. You can decline it in the cookie notice, or change your choice any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline.

If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, we remember its campaign tags (UTM parameters) on your device for up to 7 days and pass them to checkout, so our order reports show which campaign led to a sale.

We also report page visits and add-to-cart actions to Shopify, our store platform, so its analytics can count visits to this site. We set two cookies for this: one identifying your browser (kept for a year) and one for the current visit (30 minutes). Declining in the cookie notice, or browsing with Global Privacy Control on, turns this off along with the Meta Pixel.

Third-Party Services

Order fulfillment is handled by a third-party fulfillment partner, and checkout and payment processing are handled by Shopify. Each only receives the information necessary to fulfill or process your order, and nothing beyond it. Ad measurement uses the Meta Pixel, as described above.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we have about you, request it be corrected, or request it be deleted, at any time, by emailing support@aftersmoke.co.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page with a new effective date.
